Man Injured in Hillsborough County Pedestrian Crash on Interstate 275
Hillsborough County, Florida (December 28, 2017) – A driver whose vehicle ran out of gas was injured after being struck by another vehicle on Wednesday morning in Hillsborough County, according to Florida Highway Patrol.
The crash happened along Interstate 275 on Wednesday, December 27.
Troopers said a man was driving southbound on I-275 when his vehicle ran out of gas and stopped in one of the lanes.
The man went to look for gas and as he was heading back to his vehicle, a second vehicle crashed into him as he was walking along the center median. The driver of that vehicle had attempted to drift sideways in order to avoid the disabled vehicle but ended up striking the victim.
FHP said the man was rushed to a hospital where his condition was stabilized.
