Two-Vehicle Crash on US-301 Kills 1
Manatee County, FL (September 21, 2017) – A man was killed after his motorcycle crashed into another vehicle on US-301 last week.
The report showed that the collision occurred around 2:30 p.m. Tuesday, September 12.
The police found that at the time of the crash, 75-year-old Douglas Damron, of Wimauma, was riding his motorcycle on US-301 when he was struck by a Ford F-150 that entered the intersection from SR-62. The impact tossed Damron from his motorcycle.
First responders transported Damron to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead Wednesday, September 20.
The driver of the Ford, 17-year-old Treyse Deery, of Parish, was not injured in the crash.
Officers are continuing their investigation into the incident.
