Driver Killed in Lake County Crash ID’d as Donald Styer
Lake County, Florida (January 13, 2018) – According to Florida Highway Patrol, one man was killed in a crash in Lake County Friday afternoon.
The crash took place at about 3:00 p.m. Friday, January 12, at County Road 42 and Third Street.
According to FHP, Donald Styer was driving his 2005 Dodge van westbound on County Road 42 when he tried to turn left onto Third Street.
Styer’s Van pulled into the path of an eastbound 2005 Jeep driven by a 70-year-old driver, Loren Dunton, of Orange City. The Jeep crashed into Styer’s van, FHP said.
Styer died at the scene while Dunton received minor injuries.
Styer reportedly lived on Third Street.
The Crash remains under investigation.
