Port St. Lucie, FL – A three-vehicle crash on U.S. 1 and Riomar Drive on Tuesday leaves a man dead, stated the Florida Highway Patrol.
According to FHP, the crash took place at around 10 a.m. when Dennis Wayne Kay, 64, was driving a 2001 Oldsmobile south on U.S. 1.
81-year old Gail Joan Olmeda was driving a 2016 Kia north on U.S. 1. Olmeda turned left right into the path of Kay’s vehicle, stated FHP.
The Kia’s right side crashed into the front of Kay’s vehicle and a 2007 Buick crashed into the back of Kay’s vehicle as they were driving south on U.S. 1.
Kay was taken to Lawnwood Regional Medical Center & Heart Institute in Fort Pierce and was found not wearing a seatbelt.
Kay was pronounced dead at the hospital, said FHP.
