Pedestrian Struck and Killed by Car on East Ocean Avenue Identified
Lantana, FL (October 10, 2017) – The pedestrian who was struck and killed by a car early Friday morning has been identified by authorities.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the accident occurred around 1:26 a.m. October 6 on a bridge over the Intercoastal Waterway, East Ocean Avenue.
The Mercedes-Benz sedan was driving east over the bridge when 46-year-old David John Bartolino, of Boca Raton, crossed from the north to south side of the bridge.
Bartolino was declared dead at the scene.
The driver of the sedan, 56-year-old Mark Hirst, of Palm Beach, was not injured. He was not charged, pending an investigation.
