Damon Rios Succumbs to Injuries after Orange County Pedestrian Accident on South Orange Avenue
Orange County, Florida (February 14, 2018) – The 43-year-old man who was injured when he was struck by a CSX train on Monday morning in Orange County has died from his injuries, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
The accident occurred just before 11 a.m. Monday, February 12 at South Orange Avenue and 4th Street in Orlando.
Deputies said the victim, identified as Damon Rios of Orlando, was attempting to cross the tracks when the armbar was down and was clipped by the train.
Rios was rushed to Orlando Regional Medical Center with critical injuries and was pronounced deceased on Tuesday, February 13.
No one on the train was injured.
An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
