Flomaton Woman Daizee Angus Killed in Multi-Vehicle Collision on Highway 4A near Century
Century, Florida (December 23, 2017) – A woman was killed in a major multi-vehicle collision west of Century on Friday night, according to Florida Highway Patrol.
The crash happened on Highway 4A near Broomes Road on Friday, December 22.
Troopers said Daizee Brooke Angus, 19, of Flomaton was driving a 2003 Chevrolet Impala eastbound on Highway 4A when she failed to go through a curve and swerved onto the south side of the highway. She then cut back the roadway and her vehicle flipped several times in the north shoulder before landing upside down in a ditch.
Angus was ejected from her vehicle as it was spinning and was thrown onto the westbound side of the highway, where she was struck by a 2007 Mazda SX-7 driven by Haley N. Smith, 25, of Flomaton and a 2016 Chrysler 200 driven by Alston S. Wiggins, 19, of McDavid.
Troopers said Angus was not wearing a seatbelt and was pronounced dead at the scene.
No other injuries were reported.
FHP is conducting an investigation into the crash.
