Pedestrian Corbin Barber Hospitalized in Crash on SW 62nd Boulevard
Gainesville, Florida (February 16, 2018) – An 18-year-old pedestrian was seriously injured after he was hit by a vehicle Thursday night in Gainesville, according to a news release from Gainesville Police Department.
The accident happened at around 8:30 p.m. Thursday, February 16, on Southwest 62nd Boulevard.
According to GDP, Corbin B. Barber had gotten off work and was crossing the street in the 1300 block, between The Woodlands Apartments and The Pavilion Apartments when he was hit by a car driven south on Southwest 62nd Boulevard by 52-year-old Flore Delta.
The victim was unconscious but regained consciousness while being taken to UF Health Shands Hospital, the GDP said.
Barber was reportedly in stable condition Friday morning.
Authorities launched an investigation into the crash.
