Cocoa Man Killed in Central Brevard County Pedestrian Crash on U.S. 1 near Fairview Avenue
Central Brevard County, Florida (December 22, 2017) – One man was hit and killed in an auto-pedestrian crash in Central Brevard County early Thursday, according to Florida Highway Patrol.
The crash happened around 12:54 a.m. Thursday, December 21, on U.S. 1 near Fairview Avenue, southbound Camp Road and east of Sharpes.
According to FHP, the man, 46, was walking north on U.S 1 when he was struck by a Nissan SUV driven by Steven Turner, 44, of Titusville.
The name of the victim was not immediately released, but the troopers said he lived in Cocoa.
No additional details about the wreck were provided.
The incident remains under investigation.
