Child Critical After North Lauderhill Crash at SR 7 and NW 16th Str.
Lauderhill, Florida (February 3, 2018) – A child and three adults were hospitalized after a crash between a North Lauderhill fire truck and a car on Friday afternoon, according to authorities.
The accident took place just after 3 p.m. Friday, February 2, at State Road 7 and Northwest 16th Street.
The fire truck was transporting the pediatric child to a hospital when the truck crashed into the rear of another vehicle traveling along State Road 7.
The child and the driver of the vehicle that was rear-ended were both taken to Plantation General Hospital. The child was said to be in critical condition.
Two firefighters suffered minor injuries and were transported to Florida Medical Center. Two other personnel in the fire truck were not hurt.
The scene was closed down for several hours as investigators examined the scene.
