Child Injured in Cape Coral Scooter Crash on NE 9th Street
Cape Coral, Florida (January 16, 2018) – A child riding a razor scooter was struck and injured by a hit-and-run driver on Monday afternoon in Cape Coral.
According to police, the crash took place in the 1100 block of Northeast 9th Street at about 2 p.m. on Monday, January 15.
Police said the child was playing in front of their home when they were hit by a vehicle.
The child suffered serious injuries that were believed to be non-life-threatening.
A sibling who was with the child at the time of the crash was unhurt.
Police are looking for a black Kia which they believe may have struck a mailbox or another car prior to hitting the child.
