Milton Man Charles Owens Fatally Hit by Truck on US 90 in Pace
Milton, Florida (November 23, 2017) – A Milton man was struck and killed by a truck Wednesday evening in Pace, according to Florida Highway Patrol.
The man, Charles Ronald Owens, 77, was killed in the crash that happened shortly before 6:45 p.m. on US 90, near Pace Lane on Wednesday, November 22.
FHP said Owens was trying to cross the street when he was hit by a truck driven eastbound on US 90, by Robert Eugene Crowe, 51.
Owens was pronounced dead at the scene.
A section of the eastbound of US 90 was temporarily closed as officers investigated. Police said alcohol is not believed to be a factor in the crash.
