Crash Kills Casey Shoemaker on Okeechobee Boulevard in Palm Beach
Palm Beach County, Florida (January 28, 2018) – A deadly crash at an intersection on Okeechobee Boulevard killed one person early Saturday morning in Palm Beach County, according to Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office.
The crash happened at around 1 a.m. Saturday, January 27, at the intersection of Okeechobee Boulevard and Military Trail.
Deputies said Casey R. Shoemaker, 26, was driving a Toyota northbound on Military Trail when he made an illegal turn onto Okeechobee Boulevard and was struck by a Nissan SUV, driven westbound on Okeechobee by Robyn Clark.
Shoemaker was not wearing a safety belt and was pronounced dead at the scene.
Clark was wearing a seatbelt and was unhurt.
Deputies said Shoemaker tested positive for drugs and alcohol.
An investigation is ongoing.
