Man Killed in Orange County Pedestrian Crash on Hempel Avenue
Orange County, Florida (February 3, 2018) – The Florida Highway Patrol is investigating a fatal crash involving a pedestrian and a vehicle that happened on Friday night in Orange County.
A man was struck at around 9:25 p.m. Friday, February 2, on Hempel Avenue near Old Winter Garden Road in Gotha.
Troopers said the man was attempting to cross the road when he was knocked down by a van driven by Sadegh Gandikal, 64, of Gotha.
The victim was pronounced deceased at the scene.
Details on the man’s identity were not immediately released.
The investigation is ongoing.
