Helicopter Crash on Roberts Road Injures Bradley Bates
Odessa, FL (September 25, 2017) – A pilot was injured from a helicopter that crashed into the roof of a home in Odessa September 25, Monday afternoon.
Deputies from the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office arrived on the scene to investigate the crash at 9450 Roberts Road.
According to the report, the helicopter looked like a home-built helicopter from a kit.
Its pilot, 51-year-old Bradley Bates, of Odessa, was injured and was transported to St. Joseph’s Hospital. Shortly after, Bates was declared in stable condition.
Following the incident, power was cut at the property by County Fire and Code Enforcement will be determining the damage to the home.
The helicopter is said to remain at the crash site until investigations have concluded.
