Arctic Air Services Driver Injured in Ruskin Three-Vehicle Collision
Bradenton, FL (September 5, 2017) – A collision involving a car, an Arctic Air Services F-150 with a trailer, and a semi-truck Tuesday afternoon blocked all lanes of Interstate 75.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the collision took place before 1 p.m. September 5, near the 261-mile marker in Ruskin.
The crash report showed that a female driver, from Treasure Island, drove her vehicle northbound on the inside lane of I-75. Just before 1 p.m., she looked down at her phone to switch radio stations, prompting her to drive off the road onto the shoulder. When the driver attempted to get back into her lane, she over corrected the action and crashed with an Arctic Air Services F-150 towing a trailer behind it.
The driver of the F-150, a Bradenton man, lost control of his vehicle and went onto the outside shoulder. It then crossed back to the path of a semi-truck with a Sarasota man driving behind it. The truck slammed into the side of the F-150 as it was pushed to the front before finally flipping to its side.
The Arctic Air Services employee was injured in the collision.
