Woman Killed in Boynton Beach Crash at Gateway Boulevard and Jog Road
Boynton Beach, Florida (November 30, 2017) – An elderly woman died in a multi-car collision that took place Tuesday night in Boynton Beach, a local news source reported.
The fatal collision happened at Gateway Boulevard and Jog Road, at 10:30 p.m. on Tuesday, November 28.
The article reported that a Nissan Altima driven by Claudia Yhan, 36, was heading south on Jog Road traveling in the left lane to turn onto Gateway. At the same time, Merri Raphan, 70, was driving a Chevrolet Cruze north in the center lane of Jog Road and directly behind a Honda Accord driven by 73-year-old Terry Snively.
As they approached the intersection, Yhan turned in front of Raphan and crashed into the front of Raphan’s Chevrolet. The impact caused Raphan to lose control of the vehicle and hit Snively’s Honda.
A passenger in Raphan’s car, only identified as a 90-year-old woman, died in the incident. There was no word given about the condition of the other occupants of the vehicles.
An investigation into the collision continues.
