Anna Shrewsberry Killed in Leesburg Auto-Pedestrian Crash on Crooked Oaks Lane
Leesburg, Florida (February 15, 2018) – An elderly woman was killed when a backing delivery truck hit her on Thursday morning in Leesburg, according to Florida Highway Patrol.
The accident occurred at around 8:54 a.m. in the 32945 block of the Crooked Oaks Lane.
Troopers said Anna Shrewsberry, 86, was walking along Crooked Oaks Lane when a delivery truck, driven by Michael Clement Fontanez, 27, of Kissimmee, backed out of a driveway and hit her.
Shrewsberry was rushed to Leesburg Regional Medical Center, where she was pronounced deceased.
Fontanez was not injured.
The crash is under investigation.
