Driver Killed in Port St. Lucie Crash on SW Port St. Lucie Boulevard

Port St. Lucie, Florida (January 21, 2018) – The Port. St. Lucie Police Department is conducting an investigation into a major accident that left a 23-year-old man dead and another injured on Saturday morning.
The two-vehicle collision happened near the 600 block of Southwest Port St. Lucie Boulevard on Saturday, January 20.
Police said Alexis Etheridge, 23, was driving a Chrysler PT Cruiser and was attempting to turn right onto Port St. Lucie Boulevard when she was t-boned by a Hyundai Santa Fe, driven by Charles Moreno, 22.
Etheridge was pronounced dead at the scene by the Port St. Lucie Fire Rescue.
The rescue crew found Moreno unresponsive at the scene and transported him to Lawnwood Medical Center, where his condition was stabilized.
Port St. Lucie Police are investigating the crash and said speed may have been a factor.
