Two-Vehicle Collision on Kurt Street Critically Injures Motorcyclist
Hernando County, FL (September 22, 2017) – A man is in critical condition after he was injured in a two-vehicle collision Wednesday evening.
The Florida Highway Patrol reported the incident to have occurred on Kurt Street around 10:39 p.m. on September 20.
Troopers said 25-year-old Joshua A. Johnson, of Brooksville, rode his 1985 Honda moped northbound on the street. Johnson, who was ahead of the victim’s vehicle, a 2003 Kawasaki KS4. Johnson stopped to let the Kawasaki catch up. Unfortunately, the victim did not see that the vehicle in front of him had stopped already and rear-ended it. The impact threw the driver from his vehicle.
The victim was identified as 27-year-old Adam C. Cremin, of Brooksville. He was transported to Bayonet Point Hospital with critical injuries.
Johnson sustained minor injuries but was not brought to the hospital.
Neither driver wore a helmet at the time of the crash.
