Man killed in Palm Harbor Pedestrian Accident on U.S. Highway 19
Palm Harbor, Florida (January 27, 2018) – An 85-year-old man was struck and killed by a vehicle on Saturday morning in Palm Harbor, according to a Florida Highway Patrol news release.
The incident occurred just before 7 a.m. on U.S. 19 at Alderman Road.
FHP said Dominick Jay Rozzi, 22, of Holiday was the driver of a 2001 Cadillac SLS when he entered the intersection of U.S. 19 and Alderman Road, on a green light and struck the man, who was attempting to cross the highway at a marked crosswalk.
The pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene.
The victim’s identity was not released pending notification of the next of kin.
The crash is under investigation.
