Winter Park Motorcyclist Killed in Seminole County Crash with Car on Aloma Avenue
Seminole County, Florida (January 23, 2018) – A Winter Park man riding a motorcycle was killed on Monday night when he collided with a car in Seminole County, according to Florida Highway Patrol.
The accident took place at around 10:33 p.m. Monday, January 22, on Aloma Avenue at State Road 417 North.
FHP said the 42-year-old motorcyclist was traveling westbound on Aloma Avenue when he ran a red light and crashed into the driver’s side of a 2016 Honda, driven by Sandra Alzamora of Sanford and was attempting to make a turn onto State Road 417 North from Aloma Avenue eastbound.
The impact ejected the motorcyclist from his bike, and he ended up on the roadway.
The motorcyclist was rushed to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
Details on the identity of the victim were not immediately released pending notification of the next of kin.
An investigation is ongoing.
