One Killed in Hillsborough Avenue Two-Vehicle Crash in Tampa

Tampa, Florida (December 29, 2017) – A Tampa driver was killed late Wednesday night in a rear-end collision on Hillsborough Avenue, FHP said.
The two-vehicle crash happened at around 11:30 p.m. on Wednesday, December 27, on Hillsborough Avenue, west of Montague Street.
According to troopers, a 41-year-old Tampa man was driving a 2017 Nissan Maxima eastbound on Hillsborough Avenue when he crashed into the back of a 2017 Toyota Camry traveling in front of him.
The crash pushed the Nissan off the roadway and into a lake at the side of the road.
The driver of the Nissan was pronounced dead at the scene.
A passenger in the Nissan, Jeannie Kay Miller, 25, of Palm Harbor, suffered minor injuries.
The driver of the Toyota, Tien Tram, 26, of Clearwater and his passenger, Quynh Tran, 22, of Oldsmar, were unhurt in the crash.
The crash is under investigation.
