Two Teens Critically Injured in Davie Pedestrian Crash on 136th Avenue
Davie, Florida (November 4, 2017) – Two teenage girls were struck and critically injured Friday evening in Davie, authorities said.
The accident took place at about 5 p.m. in the 1200 block of Southwest 136th Avenue near St. Bonaventure Catholic Church and Western High School, according to the police report.
According to the police, two girls, aged 14 and 15, were crossing the street outside a marked crosswalk when they were struck by a Dodge Neon.
Both girls were taken to Broward Health Medical Center where they were listed in critical condition, authorities said.
The Neon driver remained at the scene and cooperated with investigators.
Avenue 136th was shut down as officers investigated the incident.
