Two Men Injured in Federal Highway Pedestrian Crash in Fort Lauderdale
Fort Lauderdale, Florida (December 14, 2017) – Two men were hospitalized on Wednesday night after being struck by a vehicle on Federal Highway in Fort Lauderdale.
According to a report by the Fort Lauderdale Fire Rescue, the incident occurred before 8 p.m. on Wednesday, December 13, in the 6400 block of Federal Highway, north of Cypress Creek Road.
A GMC Envoy traveling northbound on Federal Highway struck the two men, who were crossing the highway and were not in a crosswalk, the report said.
One of the victims was in critical condition and the other suffered life-threatening injuries. They were both were taken to North Broward Medical Center in Deerfield Beach.
The woman driving the Envoy was at the scene when police arrived.
The crash is under investigation.
