Two Injured in Jacksonville Crash with Police Cruisers on West Beaver Street
Jacksonville, Florida (January 18, 2018) – Police cruisers were involved in a collision that sent two officers to a hospital on Wednesday night in Jacksonville, according to Jacksonville County Sheriff’s Office.
The crash occurred at around 8 p.m. Wednesday, January 17, on West Beaver Street at Robinson Avenue.
Deputies said two police officers were traveling westbound on Beaver Street in separate cruisers responding to a call when a civilian car in the center lane failed to yield to the police vehicles and caused the two cruisers to collide.
The two officers sustained non-life-threatening injuries and were transported to U.F. Health.
The civilian driver was not injured.
An investigation is being conducted by the traffic homicide detectives.
