Two People Killed in Jacksonville Car Crash on West Moncrief Road
Jacksonville, Florida (January 14, 2018) – Two people were killed while two others were rushed to hospital after a grisly vehicle accident on Saturday in Jacksonville.
According to the Jacksonville County Sheriff’s Office, the crash happened at the intersection of West Moncrief and New Kings Roads.
Deputies said a car traveling northbound on New Kings Road was attempting to make a turn onto West Moncrief Road and collided with a gold SUV.
The force of the crash pushed the SUV into a traffic pole.
One vehicle reportedly flipped and caused a young boy to be thrown from the vehicle.
Two people riding in the SUV died at the scene of the crash.
One person was pulled out of the SUV and another from the car. The two suffered critical injuries and were rushed to a local hospital.
The crash damaged the traffic light at the intersection and could not function for the remainder of the day.
The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office deputies were called to the scene to conduct an investigation.
