Two Women Killed in Ocala Car Crash on NE 14th Street
Ocala, Florida (December 16, 2017) – Two women were killed on Friday afternoon in a grisly collision involving a semi-truck on Northeast 14th Street in Ocala.
Emergency crews were called shortly before 4:30 p.m. Friday, December 15, to the scene of the crash that occurred in the 2000 block of Northeast 14th Street.
Police said a passenger vehicle collided with a semi-truck, after which the passenger vehicle got stuck under the semi and caught fire.
The Ocala Fire Rescue rushed to the scene to help put out the fire.
Two occupants of the passenger vehicle died in the crash.
The driver of the semi was taken to a hospital with unknown injuries.
The crash caused Northeast 14th Street to be closed as the scene was cleared.
