Jamaris Dorsette Killed in Pinellas Park Auto-Pedestrian Crash on 70th Avenue
Pinellas Park, Florida (January 24, 2018) – A 26-year-old Pinellas Park man died after being struck by a vehicle on Monday night, according to Pinellas Park Police Department.
Jamaris Dorsette died in the accident that happened at around 7:45 p.m. Monday, January 22, in the 4600 block of 70th Avenue.
Police said Dorsette was crossing 70th Avenue when he was knocked down by a 2007 Nissan Altima, being driven by 28-year-old Jevon N. Williams of St. Petersburg.
Dorsette suffered major injuries and was rushed to Tampa General Hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.
Williams was at the scene when police arrived and reportedly cooperated with the investigators.
The crash is under investigation.
